Bishop Charlie Chatman & Dr. Queen Esther Chatman

Church History

Saints Fellowship Mission Church was founded in 1969 by the late Pastor Charlie Chatman, along side his wife,  Dr. Queen Esther Chatman.  The church originally had seven members; God's perfect number.   As Bishop Chatman continued to follow the direction of God, God immediately started to fill up the church with members.

After five years of being at one location on Saint Charles Rock Road, Pastor Chatman had envisioned another edifice and decided to start looking.  After little success, he was impressed to build from the ground up. In the fall of 1980,  a small parcel of land was purchased at 1101 North Skinker Parkway On April 24, 1983, we broke ground, and in October of 1983 we were walking into our new building.

God blessed the church tremendously throughout the years.  Many different ministries were formed (some still active today) and gifts were operating strongly within the church.

In September of 2013, after 44 years of service as our founder, spiritual father, and an all around faithful leader.  God called Pastor (who later became Bishop) Charlie Chatman home.
